The Orchid Show at NYC Botanical GardenDelicate scent, porcelaine-like blossoms and live music - sounds like Paradise Found.
Every year the splendid Victorian-style Enid A. Haupt Conservatory, at the New York Botanical Garden in the Bronx welcomes nature-lovers into a picturesque forest of gorgeous blooming orchids. The tropics are elaborately tamed and cared, to look even more exquisite than in the wild (if possible).
To smell a delicate aroma, feast your eye on tender petals (but never touch them!) and make a thousand selfies with orchid bulbs of any shape, color, and size - that's a minimum for a day visit. In the evenings, the NYBG greenhouse gets flooded with live music, DJ-sets and dancing performances. To make the vision even more kaleidoscopic, you can sip a thematic cocktail served right there, in the woods.
